Latino Health Steering Committee of Montgomery County
Since the LHI’s inception, the Latino Health Steering Committee of Montgomery County has provided expert guidance and technical assistance in the conceptualization, design, development and evaluation of Latino health activities and projects within the Department of Health and Human Services. In addition, the Steering Committee acts as the planning body for the LHI. As an independent group of volunteer professionals and community leaders, it has contributed its time and efforts to advocate for policies and practices that will improve the health status of Latinos in Montgomery County. During FY09, Steering Committee members volunteered approximately 1,496 hours to LHI programs and activities.
